ADAM LAMBERT: TRESPASSING DEBUTS AT #1

Adam's debut is big news for two reasons: 1st He's NUMBER 1 which is a huge accomplishment for any performer; 2nd He's the first out performer to have a #1 album. Yes, there have been other gay artists who have had #1 albums but none of them reached #1 after coming out and they weren't in the early stages of their careers. Congratulations Adam!

I'm a fan and have been since first seeing him on American Idol and I'm really enjoying Trespassing. Rolling Stone likes it a lot too. Official numbers for the Top 200 Albums will be posted next week.

Also releasing a new album this week was Kris Allen, the oh so cute winner of American Idol who beat Adam on the show but has been a distant second to Adam on the charts.

ADAM LAMBERT TRESPASSING: NEW CD RELEASE & VIDEO

Adam Lambert's new CD, "Trespassing," is released tomorrow, May 15, his new single is "Never Close Our Eyes," is really good - have a listen to his live performance vidoe. For "Trespassing" he teamed up with the likes of Bruno Mars, Pharrell Williams and Dr. Luke. It's the follow-up to "For Your Entertainment," which debuted at No. 3 on the Billboard charts in 2009, the same year he finished as the runner-up in the "Idol" contest.

Lambert, who co-wrote many of the songs on "Trespassing" and served as its executive producer commented, "I do feel that sonically, lyrically and emotionally, this album is a surprise for people — and myself." "Trespassing" is evenly divided between club-ready rhythmic pop tracks and a collection of moody melodic showcases for the vocal acrobatics that made Lambert a front-runner on the eighth season of "Idol."

I am thoroughly enjoying his entire download but this song is my favorite and I hope it'll be a huge hit. If you haven't listened to For Your Entertainment, you should. It's musically diverse with good lyrics and well crafted melodies. Unlike many downloads today, For Your Entertainment improves with each listening.

Adam Lambert vs Chris Brown

ABC is making headlines again:

So after deciding that Adam's performance was so unacceptable that they canceled his GMA appearance, ABC decided to book Chris Brown and help him make money. You know, because domestic violence is in and same sex kissing between men is so uncool. Seriously ABC? Really? So what you are saying is that if you beat up a woman and I mean really beat the ever living crap out of her its ok and ABC will open their arms to you and let you be interviewed by a woman and let you perform and say, please make a buck off our network. However, if you kiss another guy as part of an act you are banned for life. Just wanted to check. Note to Adam Lambert. Stop kissing guys and go beat some women. ABC and the entire Disney family will love you. Oh, and that includes ESPN. Does the person who made this decision at GMA still have a job?
