Christopher Meloni is best know for his roles in the HBO prison series OZ and the long-running Law and Order: SVU. He joins True Blood in its 5th season as Roman - a character not in books 1-6. He addition should be very interesting and involve lots of flesh! True Blood begins it's 5th season next Sunday, June 9th on HBO. Season 4 was just released on Blu Ray and DVD last week.

True Blood is loosely based on the Sookie Stackhouse novels by Charlaine Harris. Yes, they have the same main characters and the plots lines are basically the same but that's all. After the first book, the tv show and the books are so different that you can enjoy both without ruining the other. I'll have a Kindle review on the Sookie Stackhouse novels later this week.
