SMART ENERGY SAVING DEVICES

The first is this serge protector. You plug your TV into the green plug and your other electronics into the green outlined plugs. When you turn off your tv, all power is cut to all devices. Since you need to keep your DVR or VCR (if you still have one of those) powered so that you can get all your shows recorded, you use one of the non green plugs and they will continue to receive power.

  • Control power to 6 devices with your TV's on/off button
  • Reduce standby power automatically

Reduce standby power.

Did you know the standby power consumed by your entertainment system when it's not in use is costing you an estimated $76 a year*? Entertainment systems are typically the biggest energy drains in the house, consuming energy 24/7.

One button does it all.
Control power to your whole entertainment system with the push of a button—your TV's power button. Turn off DVD players, VCRs, gaming consoles, receivers, subwoofers and other equipment automatically when you turn off your TV.

Power smart.

The Master Outlet senses when your TV is on or off and controls power to five peripheral outlets for your AV components. Two outlets stay on for devices that need continuous power, like DVRs. That's smart power.

The second smart device is this power timer. You plug it into the outlet and then your device into it. On the side of the timer there are three settings 1/2 hour, 3 hours or 6 hours. You set the time according to your needs and then press a button on top of the timer to activate it. When would you use this? To save energy when recharging cells or ipods - set for 3 hours. When ironing - set for 1/2 hour and never worry again about forgetting to turn your iron off.  I have some of my Christmas lights on one for 6 hours.

It's the easy way to save energy—anywhere in your home.
  • Use it to shut off standby power after your electronic devices are fully charged.
  • Turn off curling irons and straighteners to save energy and prevent fire hazard.
  • Shut off lights, fans and heaters to avoid leaving them on indefinitely.
