Alex is best known as Eric "The Viking" Northman - 1,000 year old vampire owner of vampire bar Fangtasia, Sheriff of Area 5 Louisiana and lover/enemy/boss of Sookie Stackhouse in True Blood. True Blood begins it's 5th season next Sunday, June 9th on HBO. Season 4 was just released on Blu Ray and DVD last week. Alex was most recently in Battleship.
True Blood is loosely based on the Sookie Stackhouse novels by Charlaine Harris. Yes, they have the same main characters and the plots lines are basically the same but that's all. After the first book, the tv show and the books are so different that you can enjoy both without ruining the other. I'll have a Kindle review on the Sookie Stackhouse novels later this week.
